Litigation and Dispute Resolution
Gordon’s main areas of practice are:
Government administration law, (legal and management investigations and reviews, governance, machinery of government and legislative initiatives);
Employment law (advice, representation, investigations); and
Representing client’s on civil disputes (including in courts and tribunals).
He has held senior legal, management and governance positions in the public and private sectors, as partner and managing partner of legal practices, Solicitor General of the Cook Islands, legal consultant on economic and public sector reform programmes for various governments under the sponsorship of international development organisations and Chief Legal Advisor at the New Zealand State Services Commission.
Gordon advises clients on employment, commercial and civil matters and assists clients to resolve disputes, including representation before the Courts and tribunals. His government administration practice includes assisting government organisations on a range of areas such as advice on restructuring, machinery of government and governance issues, and carrying out investigations, management reviews and advising on integrity breaches.
