Christopher Griggs Rejoins Navy

On 5 February 2019, chambers member Christopher Griggs was attested as a Commander in the Royal New Zealand Naval Reserve.  Christopher has been appointed by the New Zealand Defence Force to lead its contribution to a root-and-branch reform of the military justice system of the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.  While this work will take Christopher to Suva from time to time, he will do most of the work (and maintain the remainder of his practice) from Barristers.Comm in Wellington.

Celebrating 2018

On 1 December 2018, past and present members of Barristers.Comm gathered at Tinakori Bistro to celebrate an eventful year at our annual Christmas dinner.

We marked Dr Graham Taylor’s retirement from practice as well as the imminent departure of our Secretary and Clerk, Anna Price. Anna has recently finished her legal studies. We also farewelled our most recent Rechtsreferendarin (German Intern), Laura Louca to whom we gave a pounamu to mark her time in New Zealand.
